![]() | Title: Pelican's Watch
Synopsis: A small community on the island of Santorini has a unique duty: that of preserving the tradition of vine growing. The issue arising is that of defining tradition, true love, and the role of god in it all. A bunch of contradictory ideas are being cultivated together with the vines to end up as grapes in the local wineries. Despite the obstacles, the community achieves a harmonious coexistence through a commonly shared reality: that of wine making and wine drinking.
Review: Like a wine aging well... Pelican's Watch is a documentary that gets better and better as you watch it. A film that dares to ask some very important questions about Greece's crisis... It's identity crisis. -Dimitra Iconomou, icon reviews, june 2011
